SUPPORT BAND @ ROCKSTAR
Support Band is a Rockstar initiative and collaboration between Luke Edwards (Rockstar Director) and Mark Evans (ex AC/DC).
"Support Band" aims to engage young people with neurodiverse, mental health and disability challenges and:
- build relationships with peers through music creation and performance.
- assist with song writing and performance.
- provide opportunities to record music.
- use industry connections to create opportunities for "Support Band" bands to perform at shows and events.
Support Band is conducted at an amazing rehearsal space under the light rail line at back of the Tram Sheds in Glebe, opposite Jubilee Park.
Support Band sessions run for 1.5 hours and are usually funded under NDIS.

SUPPORT BAND FOR HOME SCHOOL COMMUNITY
SUPPORT BAND PROGRAM
Rockstar’s Support Band program is designed to support and bring joy to children and young people with neurodiverse and mental health challenges, particularly those in the home school community. Our Senior and Junior rock band program is kicking off this week, Thursday February 19th but is open to all young people looking for a place to socialise, learn, connect and create a positive space to enjoy each week. This unique program is designed and run by highly experienced Social Worker and Rockstar Director Luke Edwards as well as Australian rock legend Mark Evans the original bass player from AC/DC.
Our program runs each Thursday in our wonderful rehearsal space under the light right line near the Tramsheds. Junior Band (primary school age 7-12 years) is 10-11:30am and Senior Band (high school age 13-18 years) from 12-1:30pm. For those with NDIS funding there are two line items that can be used for the program, for those without NDIS funding fees will be assessed pro-rata. Whatever your situation, we will do what we can to assist with your access to the Support Band program.
For newcomers, you will be required to have a registration meeting at Rockstar School and Therapy in Leichhardt, with Luke and Mark, so that we can best look at how we can support you!
